OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH, SAFETY, AND INDUSTRIAL SAFETY POLICY

 

"Teghut" CJSC (hereinafter – the Company) operates the Teghut mining complex, extracting ore and producing copper and molybdenum concentrates. The Company's management is firmly committed to carrying out its activities in accordance with the principles of sustainable development and to ensuring for the Company's employees and contractors:

 

  • Safe working conditions and a healthy environment;
  • Reduction or elimination of exposure to harmful and hazardous factors;
  • Provision of personal and collective protective equipment;
  • Periodic medical examinations;
  • A safe and healthy environment;
  • Mandatory compliance with safety rules;
  • The right to refuse work if it poses an immediate threat to life or health;
  • Compensation for accidents and occupational diseases if they result from shortcomings in the Company's management.

     

Note. We are committed to ensuring healthy and safe conditions also for all visitors entering the Company's premises. The Company's management is prepared to establish, at all industrial hazardous facilities operating on its territory, an accident prevention and personnel protection system through a comprehensive set of legal, technical, and organizational measures, including:

 

  • Establishing operating rules for industrial hazardous facilities;
  • Conducting technical inspections of industrial equipment;
  • Assessing and reducing accident risks;
  • Training employees and testing their knowledge;
  • Complying with legislative norms and requirements;
  • Ensuring state technical supervision and certification;
  • Implementing internal production control in departments.

     

To achieve these objectives, the Company is committed to implementing an Occupational Health, Safety, and Industrial Safety (OHSIS) management system. It is subject to continuous review and improvement through periodic employee awareness, skills development, and active involvement in improvement processes.

 

In addition to the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, the Company undertakes to align its activities with the requirements of the ISO 45001 standard.

The OHSIS system will be regularly reviewed and improved through employee awareness, skills development, and involvement in the improvement process. To ensure this Policy's compliance with changes in objective operational conditions, the goals, objectives, and structure set forth herein will be periodically reviewed by management.

 

This Policy is a public document. It is posted on the Company's official website and is available to all stakeholders.
